Jenny + Julio’s Breckenridge wedding day was filled with all of the good things weddings should be filled with. Great food, great people, a great dance party, and a great couple. Of course, being surrounded by the beautiful Fall mountain scenery of Breckenridge certainly doesn’t hurt the equation either. When we started planning Jenny + Julio’s wedding with them, we could see their vision of a cozy and elegant fall wedding coming to life at Breckenridge Nordic Center.
Colorado brought it’s moody, fall weather out and the amazing Karra Leigh Photography took full advantage of the fall colors and mountains shrouded in clouds (we even had a guest appearance from a fox!). J+J’s first look took place up Boreas Pass and didn’t disappoint. Their first look shots may be some of our favorite from the day (but let’s be honest, it’s hard to pick when they are all just so good).
Annie of Waters Flowers designed a jaw-dropping arch and florals for the ceremony bursting with fall colors and textures which complemented the surroundings perfectly— but her work didn’t stop there. With the combination of the beautiful handmade place cards and hand-tied burgundy napkins by Hunt & Gather and the mix-and-match floral arrangements at each table, guests were welcomed into a cozy and inviting reception area. The wood burning fireplace in the lodge was beautifully covered with greenery which gave the illusion it had been there forever. Any remaining chill from the outdoor ceremony was quickly forgotten with a glass of champagne in hand and a roaring fire.
J+J’s wedding was our first time working with Love Pop Experience but certainly not our last. Any couples in search of a creative and innovative catering company, look no further than Love Pop. The owner, Jeff, has an incredibly contagious passion for food and the experiences that food creates. HIs attention to detail and true love of what he does shines through in the presentation, the quality, and the fun his team clearly has together. Their interactive family style menu provided guests with a chance to chat, laugh, and collaborate together over dinner and drinks (we’re still dreaming about their slow roasted fall-off-the-bone chicken, actually). We also loved the beautifully done butcher-paper menu display that showcased the dinner to come.
The fun didn’t stop at dinner— Jenny + Julio opted for a dessert of made-to-order freshly fried mini donuts by The Dapper Doughnut which paired nicely with the coffee station offering lattes, americanos and french press coffee service for guests. Jenny + Julio then kicked off the dance floor with a lovely choreographed dance routine that had everyone smiling.
We’ll continue to look back on J+J’s day with fond memories of them and the vendor team that made it a reality.
