We’re finally catching our breath and getting around to blogging some of the awesome weddings we’ve planned this season. Enter, Amber + Matt.
Amber + Matt’s wedding day kickstarted our wedding season this spring— and what a great one to kick it off with! We were lucky enough to call Amber a friend before the wedding planning began and it was such a joy to work with her and Matt over the last year to plan their Colorado wedding day! Amber’s family has roots in the Lyons community so having their wedding at Planet Bluegrass was an easy decision to make.
These two wanted to pull in the colors of spring in an earthy and understated way while paying a homage to their love of nature and the outdoors. The amazing team at Plume & Furrow took their vision and made it a reality with a stunning moss chandelier installation and gorgeous floral pillars incorporating pops of yellow and blush toned floral. Amber carried an equally beautiful bouquet to match and her elegant and understated Alexandra Grecco gown was the perfect choice.
Amber + Matt wanted a laid-back “backyard” feel to their wedding and Sugar Pine Catering served up the perfect elevated street taco menu to give them just that. Foregoing a traditional wedding cake, they also opted for one of our favorite desserts— the Sweet Cow ice cream truck. Amber’s dad is the maker of a well known coffee liquor and the team at Sweet Cow even made a special flavor just for them!
One of our favorite details of their day was the custom neon sign made by a close friend of the couple that read “Love You Most”. We love how Jennifer Morgan Photo was able to capture it in the background of their first dances. Their wedding day was truly filled with all our favorite things— perfect weather, all the love, live bluegrass music, and good food + drinks in the most picturesque mountain setting.
